Yatton and Congresbury Wildlife Action Group held a ‘wet and wild’ day on the banks of the River Yeo at the Millenium Green on Sunday.
The free community event allowed all ages to get closer to nature and get to know the Yeo.
Participants were able to learn about otters, river bugs and become nature detectives for the day by placing wildlife identified in a survey on an interactive map.
A raft workshop was also held, with entries raced down the river and prizes awarded for first place and best decoration.
St Andrew’s School in Congresbury made some fish-themed bunting and had been raising some baby eels, which were released into the Yeo on the day.
