COMMUTERS in Yatton are getting frustrated that a station service is not running as it used to.
The parish council decided at its monthly meeting on Monday night to write to train giant First Great Western to ask why the office, where advance and season tickets can be bought, is no longer open full-time.
Parish councillor Faith Moulin said: "We are going to say that although we are pleased to see more staff back there, it is inconvenient to travellers when the booking office is closed.
"They need to buy a ticket before they catch a train but the machines only sell them for that day.
"The office was shut completely for about four weeks and although it is open again, it is only operating on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays."
A spokesman for First Great Western said: "We are recruiting at the moment and hope to get more staff as soon as possible.
"We apologise to anyone affected by this in the short-term and our intention is to return to normal services as soon as we can.
