THE Church of England school is praised for its work with its pupils and also the interaction of staff and governors

YATTON Junior School has received a glowing inspection report.

The Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools (SIAS) report praised the school for ensuring its pupils receive their education within the context of Christian belief and practice.

The report, carried out on behalf of the Diocese of Bath and Wells, also praised the school for meeting the needs of all its pupils.

It gave examples of excellence such as the relationships between pupils and adults, links with the local church and links with the local secondary school.

The children at the school were described as having good social skills and being supportive of each other.

The leadership and management of the school was especially singled out by the report, which stated that there are very good structures in place that promote a partnership between the headteacher, staff and governors.
