A cycling fanatic has helped produce a piece of artwork ahead of next week’s Tour of Britain.

The world’s best cyclists, including Tour de France winners Geraint Thomas and Chris Froome, will be racing around Bristol and North Somerset on Tuesday.

John Lamb has worked with Ellie Powell to produce a print inspired by Simon Warren and his book 100 Greatest Climbs.

The Yatton pair felt Cheddar Gorge’s stunning scenery would work well as art.

John said: “I’m a big cycling fan and suggested to Ellie she could design a print of the climb.

“I then contacted Simon, who is well known in cycling circles, and he agreed to sell them on his web site www.100climbs.co.uk

“We hope as many people get out and see an amazing field of riders this year.”

John is working his way through Simon’s 100 Greatest Climbs and has completed 40 so far.
