Yatton Youth Club has benefitted from another charitable donation as its overhaul continues apace.

Volunteers and visitors to the centre have spent more than a year raising funds to improve the activities it can make available for the village’s children.

The club is looking to raise £60,000 to complete its major refurbishment project, with areas including the kitchen being overhauled.

As of November, the total stood at £32,000, thanks in part to a £10,000 anonymous donation.

Woodspring Masonic Lodge is the organisation to help out.

Youth worker Niccy Hook said: “Yatton Youth Club had continued to be supported in its refurbishment fundraising, this time supported by Woodspring Masonic Lodge, which has bought and donated 14 chairs to help with the new look.

“The youth club now has more than 60 per cent of its fundraising target in just over a year.”
