A YOUTH centre has been given a makeover by a group of volunteers.

The youngsters from the Prince’s Trust got their paintbrushes out to kick-start the revamp of Weston Youth Centre in Coleridge Road on the Bournville estate.

The building has recently been taken over by the YMCA and the Prince’s Trust volunteers worked in the garden and inside.

The painting is one element of the building’s refurbishment, and there will be a bespoke area for the boxing club and meeting rooms.

Prince’s Trust programme leader Jo Wilkes said: “They have all worked really hard and it has definitely paid off.”
