NEWS, views and music from the young people of Portishead will be riding the airwaves later this month.Portishead Youth Centre will be hosting a radio station from Saturday to April 18, manned by the youngsters of the town.Children have been hard at work coming up with ideas and topics to discuss on the their show, called Radio Dynamic.It will broadcast on 87.9FM and listeners will be able to tune in within a 25-mile radius of the centre.Kimberly Dodd is helping co-ordinate the project along with Chris Hanson, formerly of Star Radio, Stroud FM and Bath FM.Kimberley said: "This is my first year involved with the project and I have had chance to work with some really enthusiastic young people."The young people involved will be awarded with a certificate to show their dedication and hard work, which will be useful to them in getting jobs when they are old enough, as it is recognised by employers."Radio Dynamic will start broadcasting at 9am every morning of the broadcast week on 87.9FM, with a breakfast show, presented by Chris Hanson."Throughout the day the other young people will take it in turns in groups of three, with two-hour slots."In the evenings there will be a dance and R'n'B show to suit those who like that sort of music."There is something for everyone at some point throughout each day.
