Three adorable baby barn owls have found a new lease of life after being rescued by Secret World Wildlife and Rescue.

The babies were discovered in a lorry full of a straw and a man immediately took them to the East Huntspill rescue centre.

Unfortunately, one of the babies did not survive, but the other three have thrived under the expert care of Trudi Howell, one of the centre’s owl-rearers.

Ms Howell said: “I have cared for many wildlife orphans but never barn owls this young.

“They were pink with a little white fuzz when they arrived but they quickly began to grow downy white fluff.

“At this age they would still be totally reliant on their parents and would not be leaving the nest.”

The babies will later be monitored and will avoid human contact.

This is so they can become strong enough to survive in the wild.
