A YOUNG woman was the victim of an assault and attempted robbery in Higbridge.
The 21-year-old was walking her dog on a footpath alongside Newtown Lake, which links Pearce Drive to the Poplar Estate, when she was grabbed from behind.
An unknown offender then pushed her to the floor, causing minor injuries. Nothing was stolen but the woman did need hospital treatment.
The offender is described as a white male who was wearing a black or dark coloured top or jacket which was made of waterproof-type material.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault which happened on October 4 at 7.30pm.
