A trust is accepting applications to its grant scheme to help young people in a Somerset village.

Cheddar Youth Trust invites people from the area between five and 25 years old to apply for money which could help them develop their talents, further their education or help in the community.

The organisation has so far given money to 212 youngsters since 2000.

Chairman Clive Panchaud said: “We are working towards establishing a capital fund of £300,000 to provide grants to young people of at least £5,000 each year.”

Download a form from www.cyt.org.uk and submit it before April 30.
