ELECTION candidates battling it out for the role of Weston MP are to be challenged during a public question and answer session later this month.

Campaign group Protect Our NHS is hosting the hustings event in Weston, with support from the Mercury.

Invited candidates include John Penrose (Conservative), Tim Taylor (Labour), John Munro (Liberal Democrat), Ernie Warrender (UKIP) and Richard Lawson (Green Party).

As well as quizzing the candidates on the future of the NHS, the hustings will give you – the public – the chance to ask your future MP what he thinks about health service provision.

The event will be held at The Blakehay Theatre in Wadham Street at 7.30pm on April 24.

The Mercury is giving readers the chance to submit questions to be considered for the event.

Anyone unable to attend the event but wishing to ask a question can submit it by emailing or sending it to Election Hustings, Weston & Somerset Mercury, 32 Waterloo Street, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, BS23 1LW by April 16.
