Youths prepare for election

THOUSANDS of young people across North Somerset will be casting their votes in the UK Youth Parliament election on January 27.

Around 12,000 students aged between 11 and 18 will be electing the UKYP member who will represent them for the next two years.

The result will be announced with the elected person becoming the UKYP member for North Somerset, the deputy member being the candidate finishing second and the other candidates will form a cross-authority.
