Garry May says Somerset Rebels “want to win everything” after lifting the Championship Fours at Peterborough.
It was the big hitters who did the damage with top scorer Chris Harris, Rory Schlein and Nico Covatti registering points in each of their five rides.
Somerset remained among the frontrunners throughout a nip-and-tuck semi-final which saw top four Eastbourne, Glasgow, Sheffield and the Rebels separated by one point.
The scoreboard was reset for the final with Somerset taking the lead in the four-way shootout on three occasions before finally taking the honours.
"The last time we won this was 2014 with Olly Allen and to come here and win it again is great," said May.
"Now the next thing is the Pairs, then the league title itself. We always put out good teams and want to win everything.
"We are sixth in the league, but have matches in hand, we just have to concentrate on getting into the play-offs and then it is another ball game from there."
Harris wowed a bumper crowd on a stellar afternoon of racing with some breathtaking blasts around the outside to bag 13 points - more than any other rider in the meeting.
"It was hard work and a good team effort," said Harris.
"I like the track here and it was good. There were ups and downs for everyone on the day, but we managed to pull it off in the end.
"The play-offs is where we want to be and hopefully this can be a springboard for our season."
The Rebels sneaked through the semi-final by a point from Edinburgh with Covatti's third and Todd Kurtz's last towards the end of qualifying almost punished by wins for Monarchs pair Joel Andersson and Cameron Heeps.
Kurtz got nothing from the opener in the final, but eight points from the next three, including wins for Schlein and Covatti, saw the Rebels hold a one-point edge after four races.
They were one behind Sheffield after the next four with Schlein consigned to third by a messy start alongside Eastbourne's Richard Lawson in the sixth and Covatti being passed up the inside by Danny King to make it level pegging at the top.
Another second for Harris in the ninth put Somerset back in the box seat with Sheffield's Ty Proctor stone last and while King won again in the 10th, Covatti got out in front of Kyle Howarth in what would prove a decisive 11th.
The Rebels were one up with Drew Kemp required to take Sheffield's last ride and Schlein's second was enough for a three-point success.
Sheffield and Glasgow finished the final on 19 points apiece with King beating Craig Cook in a pulsating battle of the Tigers to take second prize to Owlerton.
King also reset Peterborough's track record in a time of 57.3 in heat two of the semi-final, beating the 57.4 he clocked himself riding for Ipswich in the Premiership on May 13.
