Uphill Castle lost against title favourites and near neighbours Cheddar by 106 runs.

Uphill skipper for the day Marcus Bail won the toss and decided to have a bowl against title favourites Cheddar.

Castle started strongly when opening bowlers Cox (9-2-30-1) and Leech (9-3-29-1) bowled tightly, restricting the Cheddar openers.

Pick of the bowlers was Bail (9-3-23-3) and with Cheddar at 101-5 after 35 overs, Castle were disappointed they let Cheddar end up on 224-7.

Uphill started off poorly, losing the first five wickets in 11 overs, leaving the rest of the batsman a challenge.

It was the father son combination of Andy Llewellyn (30) and Tommy Llewellyn (13) that gave Uphill a chance of getting some points when they had a 47-run partnership. Bail (17 not out) also batted well again and Uphill were all out for 118.
