A welcome tail wind helped Weston Wheelers’ riders on the way back on their latest club ride.
This week’s Weston Wheelers route was designed by Ben and was up to his usual high standard.
The weather was fine and a cool fresh tail wind for most of the route. A couple of tough little climbs tested some riders, especially those still carrying a little Christmas weight, so a tea stop at the bottom of Mudgley Hill was welcome.
The ride back across the levels was great with teamwork keeping the pace keen, making the most of that tail wind and a creating couple of PBs.
The ride totalled 53 miles, climbing 1,200ft and averaging 15.3mph. Thanks go to Andy, Paul, Aron, Dave, Jonathon, Ben, Pete, Paul and Jason.
