Tom Light won the latest open match at Shiplate Farm in Bleadon.
AN OPEN match on the Hawthorns at Shiplate Farm, Bleadon, produced some good bags on several pegs.
Extremely windy conditions meant several bits of kit and bait were blown into the lake and almost a couple of anglers were blown off their boxes during the match.
The winner was Tom Light on peg one, fishing the pole, using expander pellet while feeding micros, to gain a 1lb 9oz lead on his competitors to take the match.
Results: Tom Light (p1), 43lb 6oz; Ritchie Hawkins (p14), 41lb 13oz; Simon Ryall (p6), 38lb 10oz. Silvers went to Ron Stark (p2), 14lb 4oz.
