Weston Town defeated Worle 6-2 to climb up to fourth place in the league.

WESTON Town Under-15s and Worle Juniors both started the match with just 10 players, but Town ran out deserved 6-2 winners.

Weston started with Ben Meakin in goal, David Mochan was pushed into the holding midfielder role, meaning Shaun Fairhurst dropping to left back. Jack Pearce Herzberg, Cameron Robbins Will and Sam Quick gave the defence a formidable look. Harry Crowley, Joe Kelly and Will Hazelton made up the midfield trio, with Samuel Webb playing in his preferred position up front.

Weston made a fine start when Mochan passed to Webb to score the opening goal. Soon after, Weston doubled their lead when Kelly set up Crowley to score.

More chances came with Kelly, Hazleton Crowley and Webb all going close, but Town were caught out when Worle counter attacked and pulled a goal back before half-time.

Soon after the re-start, Town increased their lead through Crowley after good work by Hazleton and Webb. Kelly danced past a couple of Worle players and crossed for Webb to score, before Worle pulled another goal back back to make it 4-2.

Hazelton grabbed Weston’s fifth and Webb completed his hat-trick to make the final score 6-2.

Joe Kelly, Harry Crowley and Sam Webb all received a man of the match certificate, but the rest of the team should also be given a mention in what was a real all-round team performance.
