A pupil from Hugh Sexey Middle School in Blackford, has just won the boy’s Under-13 Somerset County Archery Indoor Championship.
MATT, a pupil at Hugh Sexey Middle School in Blackford, has just won the boy’s Under-13 Somerset County Archery Indoor Championship.
A member of Gordano Valley Archers in Wraxall, Matt totalled a score of 468, the second highest score in the whole competition.
The photograph shows Matt being presented with a shield by Larry Godfrey, Great Britain’s number one and three-time Olympian, after winning the club competition.
He trains on Wednesday and Sunday evenings at Wraxall and his mother said they are very proud of his achievements and he would liketo achieve Olympic status one day.
