Kingfishers defeated a mixed-up Weston side by just one point.
KINGFISHERS faced their toughest opponent so far in the summer season, a mixed-up Weston team.
Both teams started slowly, but Kings’ shooters soon found their rhythm and a confident Amy was on target. However, Weston’s experienced attackers controlled play and after some weak passing by Kings, Weston took the lead.
Throughout the match, Kings remained just a few goals behind but in the last quarter, Nicky, Kelly and Caroline upped their game in defence, standing firm and not allowing their opponents to push them around.
As a result, Kingfishers just grasped the win 37-36. A well-fought match by all and Kings pass the halfway point with a 100 per cent win record.
