CLARENCE Park Bowls Club hosted the visually impaired/blind bowlers’ tournament last weekend.
There was assistance from the Lions Clubs of Weston and Worle, who helped out financially and also acted as markers for the bowlers.
Overall winner of the tournament and winner of the Lions Cup and gold medal was Ron Homer with 83. Runner-up was local bowler Bob Rossiter, who won the Lauriston Hotel Cup and silver medal. Third prize went to Colin Stockford and the best lady of the tournament was Nancy Cheeseman.
The prizes were presented by Weston Mayor Cllr Philip Judd, who also launched the tournament with Mayoress Wendy. Also in the picture are Worle Lions president Rob Morris and Weston president David Poole.
