Kev Boltz claimed victory in the Commercial House Christmas match, which was renamed the Brian Britt Christmas Memorial match in memory of their long serving member, recently.
The drop in temperatures made fishing extremely hard, with not many fish being caught other than tiny perch.
The Kennet & Avon canal was fairly clear and there were not many boats moving around.
The winner was Midland Spinner Boltz, who was pegged one to the right of Claverton bay.
After catching one micro sized perch in his first four and half hours, the last half an hour saw him manage to get some perch in the net, which gave him a winning weight of 2 lbs 0 ozs.
He won the Christmas hamper and became the first angler to get his name on the memorial trophy.
In second was Ivan Currie of Sensas Nomads, who was drawn four pegs to the left of Claverton Bay. He caught lots of small perch which weighed in at 1 lb 6 ozs.
In third was fellow Sensas Nomads member, Andy Cranston, who was drawn next to Ferry Lane bridge, and caught mainly of his perch next to the concrete wall on the inside and claimed a weight of 1 lb 4 ozs.
