Clarence took maximum points for their match with Banwell A in the Somerset County League recently. 

The Rink of the Day was awarded to Mike Fry, Martin Harryman, Nigel Martin and skipped by Allan Cord, having a great start by taking the first three ends followed up by losing three ends, by the eighth it was all square at eight apiece. 

Cord`s men chipped away and were seven clear by the 16th, Banwell went on a run of four winning ends bringing the scores once again level with one to play, Cord`s team held their nerve taking the end and with it the match.

Despite losing on two of the three rinks in the NSTL Clarecne Ladies still claimed the win after a great play on rink eight. Corrine Thomas and Lyn Leigh, alongside skip Mary Davison, started with a bang, taking the first two ends with five shots, slowly increasing their lead by 14-shots to beat Clevedon Top.
