Lympsham Allsorts clinched the Division One of the Proper Job Midweek Cricket League championship with victory over Burnham-on-Sea in their final game of the season recently.

Burnham batted first and made good progress but lacked a substantial knock to finish on 142-8.

Openers Jamie Howson (85 not out) and Jack Press (56 not out) started the reply and Burnham were unable to break the partnership as the Allsorts won by 10 wickets.

Shaftesbury Road secured runners up spot with victory at Wedmore.  

Churchill entertained the Cleeve Ducks in the final of the Consolation Cup and made steady progress in testing conditions with Scott Harris and Mike Sims putting on 26 for the first wicket.

Kieran MacManus' 23 and Dasen Moodley' 28, added impetus to the final stages of the innings to help the Ducks finish on 109-5, with Dave Havinden taking 2-14 off his four overs.

There was a wicket each for Harry Gadsden, Georgia Tulip and Matt Kearsey.

Shabil Ahmed (32) and Daniel Hawkins (20) gave the Ducks a good start with a 52-run opening stand but Max Marshman only conceded 12 runs off his four overs and when David Gooch finished his spell with 3-24 the game was firmly balanced.

Dom Mayo found the boundary with some lusty blows and a single off the last ball saw the Ducks home by seven.
