Weston-super-Mare Golf Club edged past Oake Manor to claim the Somerset Seniors Scratch knock-out cup at Tall Pines recently.
The expected tight final was looking a little one-sided in the early stages as Oake Manor reached the turn up in four of the five singles matches.
However, with Joe Neary battling back in the opening match to win on the last and Steve Yorke turned on the tables to win match match on the 17th and Weston were looking good.
And with the overall match poised at 2-1, Clive Stilwell holed a putt on the 17th to win his match and bring the trophy back to Weston.
Captain Matt Lazenby said: “The squad has been strong all summer and played to a really high level, but the players really had to dig deep as they were up against it halfway through all their final matches.
"They showed a lot of grit and determination and I am really proud to captain this bunch of guys."
