John Wormald took first place at Wedmore Captain's weekend nine-hole competition with 19 points.

In the Captains’ Cup, Alison and Ray Dodkin, Chris Donald and Mike Garbutt and Hilary Crandon all took home the honours.

Lee Saxon won Division Three with 43, two better than Philip Cowie. Dave Bedford won Division One with 39, two better than Rich Vowles.

In Division Two Trevor Marshall beat Paul Hannon on countback after both scored 36.

Dawn Chadwick was the clear winner of the Ladies, winning Division One on 37, three ahead of Shirley Gooding who beat Fran Mcmllan on countback.

Karen Clark won Division Two with 33 ahead of Sue Mcdonald and Claire Biggs.

The weekend finished with the Junior Open with Ava Hirons taking the Girls Title with a nett 71, whilst Aston Coogan-Bourke was best of four boys all finishing on 70.

In the Seniors stableford. Paul Mott scored 37 to win Division One, Ian Robson won Division Two and Pete Restorick relied on countback to win Division Three from John Sims with Francis Rabbitts the clear winner in Division Four.

The ladies played a four-ball better ball with a win for Vice-Captain Lyn Bird, with best scores of the day coming from Sarah Mathews and Shirley Turner, with 43, matched by Shirley Gooding and Cathy Turner who lost on countback with Karen Clark and Prue Witter in third on 41.
