Former Weston-super-Mare AFC forward Ollie Watkins has been recalled by England for their internationals with Australia and Italy at Wembley this month.
Watkins, who has scored seven goals and recorded three assists in 11 games so far for Aston Villa this season, is back in the Three Lions squad for the first time since March 2022.
Gareth Southgate’s England take on Australia in a friendly on October 13 and Italy in a Euro 2024 qualifier on 17 October.
Watkins spent the 2014/15 season on loan with the Seagulls, scoring 10 goals in 25 appearances to help the club avoid relegation.
Watkins made his England debut in 2021, when he came off the bench to score the fifth and final goal against San Marino.
The Villa striker has scored two goals in seven internationals.
England are six points clear in Group C, despite their perfect Euro 2024 qualifying record ended by a 1-1 draw with Ukraine in September, but followed it up with a 3-1 friendly win over Scotland.
