Weston-super-Mare AFC were beaten 2-0 by Aveley in their latest National League South encounter after goals in each half from Sydney Ibie and Eduino Vaz last Saturday.
Manager Scott Bartlett made two changes from their midweek defeat at Dartford with Sam Avery and Luke Pearce named in the starting 11 in place of Opi Edwards and Reuben Reid for their trio to Parkside.
Keiran Thomas had to be taken off after two minutes following a collision with Vaz, which saw the full-back taken off and replaced by Edwards.
The Seagulls came close to breaking the deadlock after 15 minutes when Jordan Bastin did well to play in Pearce and the on-loan Southampton forward saw his effort superbly blocked by Jalen Jones and the ball agonisingly came back off the crossbar.
The Miller grabbed the all important breakthrough five minutes before half-time through Ibie. Jones found the debutant and the 21-year-old forward found the bottom right hand corner.
The hosts made it two and secured the win when Vaz picked up Siju Odelusi's pass and he unleashed an effort from the edge of the area, which curled past Harry Lee and into the back of the net to condemn Weston to their third successive away defeat.
