Kevin Vaux and Gavin Wood teamed up together to claim victory in Wedmore Golf Club's Seniors 15 hole 4ball betterball recently.
Players are paired up in teams representing the Captain and Vice-Captain, and this match resulted in a comfortable win for those representing the Vice-Captain.
The best score of the day came from Vaux and Wood with the pair coming together to hit 40 points. The next three pairs all scored 38 with countback required to sort out the places.
Steve Heal and Ken Lohmann took second place ahead of Toni Ribi and Tony King while Brian Webber and Lucas Kirk had to settle for fourth position.
The AGM which followed saw current captain Steve Sage pass the baton to his successor Peter Roberts.
The Ladies held their AGM last Thursday and a good number of members braved Storm Ciaran to see Lyn Bird take over as captain from Helen Tanswell.
