Burnham United Reserves fell to successive Uhlsport Somerset County League Division Three defeats after giving away two-goal lead at half-time to be beaten 3-2 by Highridge United last Saturday.

But it was Burnham that took the lead with a long ball forward that Jaymie Whitehouse chased down with Highbridge's goalkeeper, which both players collided in mid flight for Harrison Givens to give Burnham the lead.

Highridge started to play some good football and created some good chances, but Burnham's defence and goalkeeper Dylan Webb kept them at bay with Will Wood clearing off the line.

As the half went on, it was joy for Burnham just before half-time when Nathan James found himself free in the box to lace home from 12 yards to make it 2-0 at half-time.

Highridge turned the game on its head in the second half and scored three times, including two goals in the final eight minutes, through Jimmy Smedley, Sonny Stiddard and Danny Clarke to give them the win.
