Weston-super-Mare AFC have announced tomorrow's (Saturday) National League South game with Worthing has been postponed.

The Seagulls announced the reason the match, which was due to be played at The Optima Stadium, was cancelled due to "extensive recent rainfall" which has resulted in a "flooded waterlogged pitch."

Weston have confirmed a new date is yet to be arranged and will be released once both sides have agreed.

In a statement on social media, the club posted: "Unfortunately, following a pitch inspection this afternoon, our fixture tomorrow against Worthing FC has been postponed, due to the extensive recent rainfall resulting in a flooded waterlogged pitch.

"A new date for this game will be released once the re-arrangement has been confirmed by all parties."

Weston are due to return to action on Tuesday when they welcome Chippenham Town to The Optima Stadium at 7:45pm.
