Weston-super-Mare AFC have announced today's (Tuesday) National League South game with Chippenham Town has been postponed.
The Seagulls announced the reason the match, which was due to be played at The Optima Stadium, was called off was due to the pitch “unplayable” and waterlogged after the heavy amount of rain.
Weston have confirmed a new date is yet to be arranged and will be released once both sides have agreed.
It is the second game in succession, after Saturday’s match with Worthing was postponed on Saturday.
In a statement on social media, the club posted: “Unfortunately, a pitch inspection carried out by a suitably qualified official has deemed The Optima Stadium pitch unplayable.
“Therefore, the Weston-super-Mare AFC verses Chippenham Town Vanarama National League South game has been postponed.
“A new date for this game will be released once the re-arrangement has been confirmed by all parties.”
Weston are due to return to action on Saturday when they welcome Cray Wanderers to The Optima Stadium for the second round of the FA Trophy at 3pm.
