Weston-super-Mare AFC assistant manager Scott Rogers says they have to show the “other side” to their game if they are going to come out on top from their next two National League South games.

The Seagulls welcome Truro City to The Optima Stadium this afternoon (Saturday) at 3pm before hosting Chippenham Town on Tuesday night at 7:45pm in the last two matches before Christmas.

Rogers said these are “two big home games” and added that they have approach them differently if they want to come away with couple of victories.

“They are like derbies as well in the South West with the eight teams in in the league,” he said.

“So, I think they'll be very similar, two really tough games and on it's going to be on a difficult, pitch both games probably now as well.

“We got to show the other side of our game as well. Apart from the wins, I think most teams people are come and watch us know we're really good football side but to win these next two games we're going to have to show a different side as well to come out on top.”

When asked what the are going to differently, Rogers added: “Well it's just going to be difficult with the with the pitch as it is. We can't play total free flowing football that we like to play. We're going to have to defend our box.

“Both teams, Truro and Chippenham, work extremely hard. So we're going to have to match that all over the pitch and defend our goals.

“If we defend our goals, then we've always got a chance to do well in the game because we're capable of scoring.”

Rogers said they want to maintain their winning streak of seven games going in all competitions and move up the table.

“We know what they are all out, they know our players, we know all their players and it’s going to be a case on the day who out works each other, whoever outplays wins the battle on the pitch or individual battles,” he said.

“We just to keep this win going and slowly creep up the league.”
