Worle Football Club have begun the new process of looking for a new manager after relieving Aaron Blakemore of his duties.

Worle have only won two games from their 13 league games so far this season and have slipped into the bottom three of the Uhlsport Somerset County League Premier

Blakemore was in his second spell as manager after returning to the Recreation Ground outfit earlier this year when he replaced Ben Dancey and was in charge for two seasons before his first departure in 2021.

And the committee felt it was the right time to get a new face into the club.

"We wish Aaron all the best for the future and thank him for his hard work this season," said in a statement published by the club.

"The facilities are continually being improved and we feel it is an ideal opportunity for someone with the right experience to take charge and push the club forward in the right direction.

"Off the pitch we have an ambitious committee and the new manager will get our full support, everything is in place to make sure we are challenging for honours."
