Hutton Tornadoes under-13s Girls Football Team have etched their names in local sports history with a stellar performance 2023.

The team, comprising a growing squad of 21 talented girls, emerged triumphant in all 20 league games, showcasing unparalleled skill, determination, and a relentless commitment to success.

Under the watchful guidance of Chris Rowe, Alex Barwick, Warren Whitfield, and James Redman the Tornadoes have demonstrated an awe-inspiring offensive prowess. An astonishing 119 goals have been scored while their defence stood resilient, allowing a mere 11 goals to breach their ranks. The team's defensive solidity was further exemplified by achieving 11 clean sheets throughout the season.

This remarkable run follows on from them being crowned the 2022/23 league champions in the summer, a testament to their unwavering dedication and exceptional teamwork on the field.

This victory, alongside becoming Somerset League Cup finalists, not only solidifies their status as a force to be reckoned with in youth football but also elevates the team's standing within the local community, having all joined forces from other clubs at the end of the 2021/22 season.

The club pass on thanks to referee Andy Day, who has not just refereeing matches, but educated the girls with rule changes and knowledge.

Hutton Tornados are currently on a Christmas break and are raring to get back on the pitch in 2024.
