Weston AFC blew away a two-goal lead to be held to a 3-3 draw in their opening National League Game of 2024 at Weymouth last Monday.

The Seagulls flew out of the blocks first and scored the opening goal from Sam Avery, when he bunded home Dayle Grubb's free-kick in the 26th minute for his first goal of the season.

Moments later it was two when Alex Fletcher made it two when he scored at the second attempt after Terras goalkepper Gerrard Benfield parried out his first effort.

But the hosts grabbed one back in stoppage time at the end of the first half when Brandon Goodship stepped up to score with a penalty.

However, Reuben Reid restored Weston's two-goal cushion in the 55th minute when the forward fired in at the near post.

Goodship got one back for Weymouth in the 75th minute when he scored his second before Ezio Touray levelled the scores in the 88th minutes to give both sides a point after a thriller at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
