Counties 2 Tribute Somerset: Weston RFC Seconds 52-28 Oldfield Old Boys

As the Weston RFC first team was without a match at the weekend, all attention turned to the Seconds and they put in a worthy performance in a home win.

In their match in the Counties 2 Tribute Somerset division, they defeated Oldfield Old Boys 52-28 in front of a strong crowd.

In the match, Hayden Main opened the scoring in the third minute with a nice try and Archie Tilsley converted for 7-0.

Oldfield were shown a yellow card 10 minutes in which allowed Weston to run riot with the extra man.

Chris Young and Harry Nash both scored in the time with the advantage and Tilsley added the extras.

In the 30th minute after a scuffle, Dave Kelly was shown a yellow card for Oldfield while Nash was given one for Weston.

The visitors ran in two tries but Jacob Simpson scored for Weston before the break to make it 26-14.

In the second half, Harry Jones, Tilsley and Dom Marshall all scored tries with Tilsley adding the extras to give Weston a big win.
