Uhlsport Somerset Premier Division: Worle First 3-1 Wrington Redhill

Worle FC has claimed the bragging rights in the latest derby match with Wrington Redhill FC.

In the game in the Uhlsport Somerset County Premier Division, Worle were 3-1 winners over Wrington Redhill.

The first half was a scrappy affair with both teams finding it difficult to get a rhythm in their play and final passes going astray.

Wrington took the lead when from a corner the ball fell to the feet of Holland who volleyed the ball fiercely past Sherwood.

With half time imminent Worle equalised when the home defence was stretched, and Joe Holder was on hand to find the net for an interval score of 1-1.

Despite not playing with a great deal of confidence at the restart a further setback came when within 60 seconds, not back in playing mode allowed Worle to carve them open without challenge this time Toby Jones firing past Regan D’Arcy.

Without ever looking likely to claw the game back after this it got worse for Wrington as Jones completed his brace of goals and clinching the game 3-1 for his team.

Worle were in a similar position in the table to Wrington until winning their last three games has shot them up the table and to relative safety.

Wrington Redhill need to follow this example and all the players need to regain the commitment from last season.
