It was a successful weekend for the Hornets RFC Colts as they progressed to the final of the Somerset Cup.

They took on Keynsham RFC Colts in the semi final of the competition and came out on top in what was a hard fought game of rugby.

Away from home, the Hornets side were able to run in four tries in the match to win 12-24.

The Colts put in a very strong effort defensively to keep Keynsham out towards the end but they held on.

After the match, the club said: "Colts proceed to the final of the Somerset Cup winning a hard fought game against Keynsham Rugby 12-24.

"Another fantastic weekend for the club! Big thanks to all those that have been down to support."

In other junior rugby results at the club, the U14’s also made it through to the final of their age group Somerset Cup after their victory over a strong Chard Rugby Club.

That match finished 25-15 as the U14s Hornets proved too good in what was another hard fought semi final.
