National League South: Welling United 3-1 Weston-super-Mare AFC
Two late goals gave Welling United the three points on Saturday (March 16) over Weston-super-Mare AFC.
Weston played well during periods in the match and looked set to take home a point however two goals in added time changed that.
Sonny Fish’s strike put the Wings ahead in the first half and deservedly so as Welling controlled proceedings during the opening 45 minutes.
However an improved Seagulls side took the pitch in the second period and created a number of chances.
The match did begin to get a little scrappy though as Welling were trying to cut down Weston's attacks by any means.
Despite that, Weston found an equaliser via James Dodd, who turned in from a left-wing cross 14 minutes from time.
But two goals in injury-time, one each from Antony Papadopoulos and David Aimoo, ensured a dramatic win for the hosts.
Weston now look towards their cup match against Brislington on Tuesday night away from home before returning to league action on Saturday, March 23, away at Maidstone.
