Gymnasts from Weston-super-Mare will be representing England against international competition.

Abigail, Maddison, and Ella are an acrobatics 11-16 Women's Group from Weston’s Splitz gymnastics club who have been chosen to represent England at next month’s Caledonia International in Perth, Scotland.

The three young gymnasts have all been involved in the sport from a young age, but it is over the past 18 months they have been working together that has caught the attention of England’s national team.

The competition takes place from April 6th-7th and will see the Splitz trio competing against other acrobatic squads from Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.

A member of Splitz gym said: “Gymnasts Abigail, Maddison and Ella from Splitz Gymnastics Club in Weston-super-Mare have been selected to represent England at the Caledonia International in April 2024!

“Their coach Carmen Benham has set up a Go Fund Me page for them as this event is entirely self-funded, so they are looking for support to help get the girls to Scotland next month - Any support is greatly appreciated!”

If you’d like to support Abigail, Maddison, and Ella on their journey to international competition donations are always appreciated on their GoFundMe page here.
