Uhlsport Somerset Premier Division: Uphill Castle 6-0 Worle

At the weekend, Uphill Castle claimed bragging rights over local rivals to the Weston area Worle FC.

Their match in the Uhlsport Somerset County Premier Division finished 6-0 in favour of Uphill Castle as they were too good for Worle.

It was a one-sided affair as the hosts, playing in front of a strong crowd, ran riot and played some very strong attacking football.

Jack Askins scored twice for Uphill while the other goals came from one each for Morgan Sealey, Oliver Wilcox, Toby Yeates and Joseph Eyles.

The result sees Uphill Castle move to 11th place in the Somerset Premier Division table while Worle are stuck in the relegation places, currently in 14th place.

A spokesperson from Uphill Castle said after the match: "First team bounce back with an emphatic 6-0 win at home in the derby against local rivals Worle FC.

"Three goals either side of half time earnt the lads a deserved three points!"

Up next for Uphill Castle is a home match against Wells City Reserves on Saturday, March 23.

For Worle FC, they played on Tuesday night (March 19) and then are not in action in the league until March 30 when they host Clevedon United.
