Yet another week disrupted by rain with the Ladies losing their competition altogether and the weekend stableford reduced to 13 holes to protect the wetter parts of the course.

With the reduced number of holes to score on the scores themselves looked pretty good. Pete Brown won division 1 with 31, 3 better than Steve Dowden who beat Mike Garbutt on countback.

There was a close finish in division 2 with Tony Bird winning on 30, just a point better than Steve Major with Derek Moody third on countback. Best score of the day came in division 3 from Jon Raeside, scoring 32 to win by 2 shots from Paul Dickie with Chris Manville third on 27.

Karen Clark was best of the Ladies scoring a very respectable 26 with Ronnie Follenfant second and Sally Stephens third.

By contrast the Seniors had a busy week, fitting in two friendly matches, an honourable draw at Bristol & Clifton before beating Shirehampton at home.

There was also aStableford for those not involved in the matches. David Crew was top scorer of the day, winning division 1 on 41, a clear 5 points ahead of Dave Bedford who beat Graham Sugg on count back.
