Weston-super-Mare AFC will want to want to bounce back to winning ways in their game against Chippenham Town on Tuesday night.

The Seagulls are returning after their 1-0 loss at the Optima Stadium to Braintree on Saturday, but will be wanting to return to a goalscoring form that saw them put four past Taunton Town and comeback to a 3-3 draw against Torquay in their two matches previous.

Chippenham currently sit 11th in that table and are one of the most in form teams in the league currently unbeaten in their last five games having won four and drawn only one they will be looking to move up through a congested mid-table.

The two sets of coaching staff are familiar with each other two, both pairs of managers and assistants played with each other during their time on the pitch, setting the scene for an interesting tactical affair.

Weston looked forward to the game. He said: “We’ll just try and be better at what we do, we’ve done pretty well I would say, the lads have been good.

“We’re lacking a little bit of competition at the moment, we’ve always got one or two players missing so we’re unable to play the same team but that’s quite common at this stage of the season.

“We know Chippenham really well, they’re good friends of ours, me and scotty played with both their assistant and their manager so we’ve got a lot of respect for them.

“They’re on a good little run at the moment, we know that if we’re like we were against Taunton and Torquay then we can win the game but if we’re a little bit passive and lacking going forwards like we were against Braintree then it’ll be a tough game.”

The Seagulls kick off against Chippenham Town at 7:45pm Tuesday night.
