The Seagulls take on Aveley FC ahead of a tough schedule to end the season

Scott Bartlett’s men now face a run of four games in seven days, an end to the season that even teams with Premier League-like resources would have trouble handling.

Weston are coming off the back of a 2-1 home win against Chippenham Town in a game that Bartlett said he saw his team "play with a spark" again.

The Essex team are coming off the back of a 1-1 draw to Truro City and a 2-1 loss to Havant and Waterlooville, but the ninth place team will be well rested compared to the Weston squad after having a weeks rest in comparison to Weston’s four days.

Bartlett knows this and expects to change the line up in anticipation of both the immediate match up against Aveley, as well as the three remaining games after.

He said: “It’s a bit of a killer, we’ve got games Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.

“We’re giving them a break this Thursday which we don’t normally do, we’ll make some changes for Saturday, some changes for Tuesday, and then we’ll go from there for the next two games.”

“The lads have been brilliant but we’ve got a little bit more work to do and I want to finish strong.”
