There were two more cup finalists determined this weekend in the Weston and District football league.
First off in the Charity Cup for Division 2 teams Sporting Weston Reserves continued their fine form this season to beat Berrow 4-0 and set up a final against St George Easton-In-Gordano after they won their semi-final 5-1.
The Division 3 Challenge Cup semi-final saw Sporting Weston’s Colts take on Isle of Wedmore Reserves, with the Isle of Wedmore team winning 3-1 to advance into the final which will be against Berrow Reserves.
Meanwhile fixtures carried on as usual elsewhere around the league.
In Division 1 Uphill Castle Reserves beat Congresbury Reserves 5-0, Worle Reserves won 2-1 against Locking Park, Weston Town beat Swiss Valley Rangers 2-1, and Nailsea United ‘A’ played out a goalless draw with Isle of Wedmore.
In Division 2 league leaders Axbridge United recorded a huge 11-1 win over Hutton Reserves while St George Easton-In-Gordano Reserves beat Clevedon United ‘A’ 3-0.
Division 3 saw AFC Nailsea take on Axbridge United Reserves, with the prior winning 2-1, and Banwell Reserves came out 4-1 victors over Yatton and Cleeve United ‘A’.
Winscombe Reserves beat Banwell ‘A’ 4-2 in Division 3, while Coronation United put four past Worle Rangers ‘A’ team in their 4-1 win.
