Pro Wrestling is coming back to Weston’s Winter Gardens Pavilion after the last show in November played host to over 400 fans in a sold out venue.

On Saturday April 27th CSF Professional Wrestling will return to the Pavilion in Weston-super-Mare as the promotion company host ‘SATURDAY NIGHT SLAM’ at the iconic venue.

The Winter Gardens Pavilion has hosted pro wrestling for decades and this month’s event will mark CSF Pro Wrestling’s 26th year of hosting wrestling events in Weston.

CSF are planning another spectacular evening of high flying, body-slamming, bone crunching, action packed family entertainment featuring some of their top stars from across the country, with some making their first appearance here in the seaside town.

Elite competitors such as The Blockbusters, Bane and Bronson, Ripper Reed, Eddie “English Lion” Ryan, Joel Redman and JJ Gale will all be in action making it an event that no local wrestling fan would want to miss.

The main event of the night’s fight card is the promotion’s first ever no DQ Tag Team Challenge.

The Blockbusters bring their talents to Weston and will be taking on Bane and Bronson in the no disqualification tag team bout, with both big name teams making their debut appearances at the Winter Gardens Pavilion.

Another big fight of the night will see Jake “Unique” McCluskey taking on the Māori Warrior known as NIWA, the newly crowned CSF All Nations champion, for the Nations championship belt.

Meanwhile Eddie “English Lion” Ryan will take on Brandon Lee, Axel Carter will take on Josh “Country Big” Knott and Ripper Reed will face JJ Gale.

The Winter Gardens Pavilion is almost 100 years old, having been opened in 1927, and has hosted some of the biggest music names of all time.

Performances from David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Cilla Black and T. Rex have all graced the stage of the historic venue, but in in it’s more recent years professional wrestling has found a home here, supported by an ever-growing Weston fan base.

The sport has been enthusiastically followed at the Pavilion and during the ‘Golden Years’ the ballroom often hosted big names such as Giant Haystacks, Mark Rocco, Jonny Saint and the unforgettable Kendo Nagasaki.

CSF Wrestling took over the wrestling events at the Gardens way back in 2006 and are still going strong today.

The managers of the event have expressed their excitement about the return to Weston and the Pavilion. They said: “Of all the venues we visit, the wonderful Winter Gardens is up there as one of our favourites. Each time we visit we receive a fantastic response from local fans and families.

"Over the years we’ve brought some household names to Weston including WWE stars Chris Masters, MVP, The Nasty Boys and Mr. Kennedy.

“This year the occasion will be even bigger with the host of talent on show and we can’t wait to be back!”

Doors open at the Winter Gardens Pavilion at 5:45pm on April 27th, with the first bell planned for 6:30pm.
