It was something of a rarity at Wedmore this week as the ladies' competition on Thursday was postponed due to the hot weather rather than any rain or bad weather.
With no formal competition at the weekend, this left just the seniors playing on Monday.
With the worst of the heat still to come, several still found it more than hot enough, yet the scores were remarkably good.
Best of the day came in division 1 with Steve Major scoring a gross 75, which equated to a net 63 and gave him a four-shot win over runner-up Brad Speller, with Nigel Day a shot further back in third.
Trevor Pitt took first place in division 2 with 65, which gave him a two-shot lead over Gordon Kendell, with Martin Olive a further shot back in third place.
Perhaps the toughest division to win was division 3, won by Peter Jones with a six under-par 64, just one better than runner-up Tony Ireland, with Martin Stidwell another shot back in third.
Although there was no formal competition at the weekend, the usual roll-up Saturday Stableford took place, notable for a remarkable score in the conditions of 40 points from Claire Walker, which put her nine points clear of her nearest male rivals.
