Weston-super-Mare AFC have announced an old face will be returning to the Seagulls after six years away.
Brad Ash, who moved through the ranks into the first team, is returning back to the grounds that made him.
The striker had moved through various National League South sides, having earned a move to Barnsley in January 2016.
Brad has also played for Boreham Wood, Hereford, Chippenham, Weymouth, Torquay United, and Bath, and is now looking to spend more time at Weston at the age of 30.
He has scored 45 goals and assisted 23 times in 131 matches for the Seagulls, with his last appearance coming in February 2020.
Over the course of his career, Ash managed to deliver 179 goal contributions in 414 matches, making his senior debut in August 2013 as a substitute at Dorchester Town under the management of Craig Laird.
Expressing his excitement on returning to his old hunting grounds, the Burnham-born player said: "I'm delighted to be back at Weston.
"There's a real buzz around the club, and I'm excited to be part of what's ahead.
"I can't wait to see all the fans again and get started."
Weston manager Scott Rogers also shared his delight at the return of Ash, saying: "He was really keen to join us, which is great and what you want to hear when you sign a player.
"He only lives 15 minutes away from the ground, he come through the Academy and that's the sort of player we want to attract to the club – local lads who are desperate to play for Weston-super-Mare.
"Hopefully, he can add to what is a really good squad that we're building at the moment, and we're looking forward to seeing how he can affect games for us with his pace, running attributes, athleticism, and hopefully scoring quite a few goals."
The striker will wear the No.14 for the 2026/2027 campaign.
