Clarence Blues maintained their strong form by winning two matches recently.

The Blues took 17 points from a 110-98 victory over Burnham, helping to maintain their third-place position in the league.

The best rink was Malcolm Elmer, Kevin Allin, and Gordon Leigh's, overcoming a setback in the fourth round to win by 15 shots.

Their resilience was a key factor in the overall win, contributing significantly to the team's points haul.

The club also secured a narrow 80-73 victory against Winscombe Originals.

The Originals were only able to field five rinks, which resulted in 10 points being added to the Blues' score.

Kevin Allin, Tim Mitchell, and Bob Coleman formed the highest-scoring rink in this match.

This win further strengthens Clarence Blues' position in the league table.

Elsewhere, Clarence Golds also celebrated success, defeating Ashcombe Templars 110-76.

Two matches went down to the wire, with both Frank Bertram and Jon Loveridge, alongside skip Nigel Martin, and Jon Scott and Derek Weston, alongside skip Phil Doughty, taking crucial points at the end of their games to secure the overall win.

Their performances were instrumental in the Golds' victory, providing a much-needed boost for the team.
