A half marathon fundraiser has raised nearly £6,000 in memory of Maureen.

The event, organised by Paul Hobbs in honour of his late wife Maureen, took place at Weston-super-Mare Football Club and supported AMMF.

Mr Hobbs said: "It has been a very personal and emotional event with a great result raising nearly £6,000.

"The event and success is dedicated to Maureen.

"My special thanks to every individual, company, group who has kindly supported, donated, contributed in anyway with a special thanks to my friend Nigel Turner as always.

"The support has meant so much too me and was Maureen's near life end wishes for me to help save others from this dreadful desease."

Hermoine Hopkin, of AMMF, added: "Everyone at AMMF are delighted with Paul Hobbs fundraising and awareness raising of cholangiocarcinoma in memory of Maureen. His dedication and support mean so much to us. Supporters like Paul make it possible for AMMF to continue our work supporting those affected by CCA, raising awareness and supporting and funding vital research."
